Recently we've received numerous reports of citizens getting phone calls and e-mails about but not limited to arrest warrants, missed jury duty, lawsuits and other communications posing as Law Enforcement. Also we are not making phone calls asking for donations.
WE DON'T SEND EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS saying any of this. If you get something like this, there is a good chance it is a scam. It is a problem throughout the United States. Check out www.consumer.ftc.gov/scam-alerts and see some of the latest scams out there.
Other scams are posing as power companies, computer tech support, tax collections and many many more that are too long to list here.
