  • Cedar City PD Warns of Spoof
     

    Cedar City PD reports that their main phone number is being spoofed.

    Be aware of things like this going on. Cedar City PD or any other Law Enforcement Agency will NEVER legitimately call and ask for money over the phone.

  • Chili Cook-Off 2018

    Get your key and unlock that (could be) award winning chili recipe and bring it on over to the 2018 Chili Cook-Off in Minersville on Saturday, November 24th. If you don't have a chili recipe, come on down and taste some of the best chili around!

  • Snow on the Mountain - 4x4 Travel Recommended

    Our mountain has snow! It has been reported that there is approximately 8 to 10 inches of snow along Big Flat and 10 to 12 inches of snow on the ground around LeBaron Reservoir. Forest Service Road FS-153 above Puffer Lake and FS-137 remain passable, although 4x4 vehicles are recommeded. Road conditions in these areas and other unpaved mountain roads are subject to change often during this time of year and may become impassable soon.

  • Flash Flood Watch Issued
     

    A flash flood watch has been issued for most of Utah, including Beaver County by the US National Weather Service Salt Lake City Utah. The watch goes into effect at 3:00 pm Monday for southern Utah which is described as south of I-70 and the Capitol Reef area. The watch for the rest of the shaded area on the map will go into effect at 4:00 am Tuesday morning. All areas included in the watch will be effective until 4:00 am on Wednesday.

    UPDATE: Earlier tonight we asked for assistance with the search for the missing youth in Pine Valley. We're pleased to announce to cancel assistance for tomorrow morning.   • Fire Restrictions Rescindment
     

    With improved weather conditions and moderate fire danger indices, Fire Management Officer Brett Ostler of Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands has issued an order resinding the fire restrictions that were put in place on July 2nd, 2018 for all unincorporated areas of Beaver, Garfield, Iron, Kane, and Washington counties. This order does not rescind the restrictions intitiated on June 1st, 2018.

  • IRS and Warrants Phone Scams
     

    St. George News recently wrote an article warning of some popular phone scams that claim you owe the IRS or have an outstanding warrant. The Beaver County Sheriff's Office is sorry to say that we have had victims in Beaver County. Our office, nor any legitimate law enforcement agency will ever call you on the phone to advise you to pay a warrant. Please don’t fall prey to this.

  • Milford "Stage II" Fire Restrictions Ordered
     

    Stage II fire restrictions have been ordered for the city of Milford. FIRES OF ANY KIND are PROHIBITED! ALL FIREWORKS are PROHIBITED! This also means that there will be no fireworks show.

  • Fire Restrictions Ordered for Fishlake National Forest
     

    As of July 1st, 2018 the United States Forest Service implemented Stage I Fire Restrictions within the exterior boundries of Fishlake Nation Forest. These restrictions allow for campfires within campgrounds with a designated metal ring. They also allow for propane/liqued fuel stoves for cooking outside of designated campgrounds, although campfires and charcoal are prohibited.

  • Black Mountain Fire (UPDATED)
     

    The Black Mountain Fire which started at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 26th, 2018 on SR-130 mile marker 34.5 was started as a result of an auto accident. The fire resulted in the highway being closed for about 16 and a half hours.
