Dog Registration
Beaver County in an inter-local agreement with Beaver City, Minersville Town, and Milford City requires all dogs aged 6 months and older to be licensed. Each dog must be licensed annually. Application for annual dog licensing may be made from the first day of October, preceding the licensing year and are due on the first day of January each year. Applications received after the 14th day of February each year are considered late and will incur additional fees.
Application Requirements
Application for annual dog licensing may be made from the first day of October, preceding the licensing year, to the County Animal Control Officer or such other persons as may be authorized to receive an application by the Animal Control Administrator. The application shall include:
- Address where the dog is normally kept
- Name, address and telephone numbers of the owner
- Proof of the dog’s gender
- Proof that the dog has received a current rabies vaccination
- Proof, if any, the dog has been neutered or spayed

Fees & Fines
There is a $50 fine if your dog has not had their rabies shot and a $50 fine if your dog is not licensed.
Non-Spayed or -Neutered Dogs
- Early discount:
October 1st through January 15th
$37.50 - Regular fee
January 16th through February 14th

Spayed & Neutered Dogs
- Regular fee
October 1st through February 14th
$20 fee - Late charge
February 15th through December 31st
Regular fee plus $20 late charge
Surrendering Animals
When you can no longer care for your pet we charge a non refundable surrender fee for animals we take into our shelter.
