Alert Citizen Honored
Today I was honored to give a certificate of appreciation to Mary Flores. On December 15, 2018 she heard an “attempt to locate” over her scanner while working the graveyard shift at High Country Chevron. She noticed the suspects and vehicle when they pulled into the station for fuel and called dispatch. Deputy Lonnie Laws located the vehicle and made an arrest. This arrest lead to evidence of a $30,000 burglary in Richfield at Jorgensen Honda earlier and other possible burglaries throughout Utah. Great Job Mary!

Snow on the Mountain - 4x4 Travel Recommended
Our mountain has snow! It has been reported that there is approximately 8 to 10 inches of snow along Big Flat and 10 to 12 inches of snow on the ground around LeBaron Reservoir. Forest Service Road FS-153 above Puffer Lake and FS-137 remain passable, although 4x4 vehicles are recommeded. Road conditions in these areas and other unpaved mountain roads are subject to change often during this time of year and may become impassable soon.
